The cabin is modern, clean, and well equipped. The area is quiet. The bedrooms are roomy
and private. Thought has gone into the decorating to make the cabin pleasant. The kitchen has
all that is needed to prepare complete meals.

The Alemaigne Haus cabin was very clean and beautifully decorated. Staying at the cabin felt like home. There were only 3 of us but 3 more people would have fit comfortably. Internet/WiFi was available with a great connection. Many extras such as extra pillows, blankets, large closets, very open space, grill and large deck space. You could just chill out in the sun room or sit outside on the porch and enjoy all the nature surrounding you. There are also lots of activities in or close to Helen, GA. We went horse back riding, mining for gold and gems, played mini golf, went tubing, shopping in Helen and Dahlonega. There are some water falls and a state park close by which are very nice too. Terry and Gary welcomed us and answered any questions we had and then left us alone to unpack. They know the area well so they can let you know what the closest and best places are for activities...etc. So glad we were able to rent this very nice cabin. We had a great time!!

The weather was gray, but cabin was great; the temps stayed in the 50's and below, but we were snuggled in front of the fireplace daily; the view out the garden room window was very peaceful and inviting; the home-made hot chocolate at Hansel and Gretel was yummy and the meals and especially the strudel was the best at Hoffer Cafe and bakery. Comfy beds, cozy welcoming cabin. Terry and Gary the perfect hosts, met us and helped us settle in, great recommendations. Cabin had everything we needed. One of our best adventure trips and birthday celebrations.

On our recent weekend stay we found the cabin to be exactly as advertised! It was clean and very well appointed. The location was convenient and the view was very nice. We will definitely stay here again. I highly recommended this owner and cabin.

This was our third time staying at Alemaigne Haus. It will not be our last. We look forward to staying there many more times, and so appreciate the hospitality shown to us each time we are there.

This was our third or fourth stay here when visiting Helen, Ga. There are many choices to make for places to stay in the area but for the money, this is the best bang for the buck. Terry and Gary always greet us with smiles as we pull into the drive. It was like seeing good friends again. Hope they feel the same way.
Beautifully but comfortably decorated throughout the upstairs and the downstairs. Terry and Gary have the cabin stocked with about anything you might need for your stay, such as: shampoos, soaps, fluffy towels and washcloths, plenty of bath tissues and face tissues and paper towels, and the list goes on. The kitchen is stocked with coffee, specialized hot tea and cider, hot chocolate, sugar, salt and pepper, cooking spices and flour, mustard and ketchup, and the list goes on. Plenty of plates, cups, cookware, grill tools for the grill. We bought a pound of flavored coffee beans from Betty's Store and used the coffee grinder provided to grind and brew that magical aroma that only coffee lovers know and love.
The living, kitchen, and dining areas are downstairs with plenty of room to spread out. We love the sitting area overlooking the creek and woods. We love using the fireplace in the cold seasons with plenty of firewood provided. The downstairs also has a large bath, and another room with a sofa bed. There is a laundry room at the end of the hallway with detergent provided should you need to do a load, hopefully not because you are on vacation. There are TVs in just about every room, and Wi-Fi as well. Plenty of games and movies provided...just pick a few if you are staying in.
Upstairs are two large fully furnished bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a king bed, each have their own private bathrooms, ceiling fans, and plenty of closet space. The king room has a sitting area overlooking the creek and the woods. Nice place to have your morning coffee if you need some alone-time.
Just about 2 blocks up from the main street in downtown Helen. It is in walking distance but we always drive as I lean towards the lazy side.
This house and the area has become one of our favorite places to go each year and Terry and Gary have done a lot to make sure their cabin serves you well on your visit. They even have a free bottle of wine and chocolates waiting for you when you check in. I don't even get that when I stay at the hotel chain I've been using for years.
Hey, hope to be back soon. Keep up the good work!!

This was a wonderful place to stay. The cabin was immaculate and the owners, Terry and Gary, met us there and gave us tips on parking and restaurants. The cabin was close to town but secluded as well. We had such a great time and will definitely stay at this property in the future.

The cabin was perfect. Close enough to downtown without being stuck in the middle of traffic. Easy access to get into town. We were greeted upon our arrival, given the tour of the cabin and suggestions for good local places that aren't "touristy". Wish we could have stayed longer, but will definitely make this our first pick on our next extended trip to Helen.
Thank you for your hospitality,
Steve and Melissa

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was nicely decorated and very clean and everything was available that we needed. It was peaceful and quiet and we really enjoyed sitting on the deck mornings and nights listening to the creek running. Very relaxing. We loved that it was so convenient to downtown Helen so we didn't have far to drive to all the festivities. Terry and Gary were waiting on us when we arrived to welcome us and answer any questions we had. They had pamphlets available with all the different activities, shops, and restaurants for us to look over and get an idea of where the locations were and what they had to offer. They did an awesome job in making this one a "home away from home".

We recently visited Helen to view the eclipse, but ended up finding so much more! The German food is outstanding. The tubing is so fun. And Anna Ruby Falls is beautiful!
We can't wait to go back and will stay at Alemagne when we do. The Allmons went beyond expectations, meeting us at the house to welcome us, show us the best places to to park in town and how to avoid traffic. They left us some great recommendations of things to do and places to eat. They even sent me an email ahead of time to tell me places around town that we're having eclipse celebrations. This house is in a perfect location because it is very close to everything but when you're at the house you feel like you're the only person in town. We even saw a bear. The house is very clean and the beds are super comfortable. It had everything our family of 4 could possibly need. I highly recommend it.
